Here is a quick guide to how to buy from Verko - design for easier living

SITE USEABILITY FEATURES

We have tried to make our site as easy to use as possible for all our customers, we have therefore:-

  • this site meets the Bobby Level A accessibility rating
  • avoided the use of "drop down" menu navigation wherever possible
  • ensured a high colour contrast between text and background and different elements of the site
  • included a facility to adjust the text size of any page
  • added alt tag descriptions to relevant images on our site
  • avoids pop up pages
  • included a variety of ways to search for the product you want
  • allow orders by phone or post as well as on line

SEARCH

We have provided you with three ways to search for one of our products. The left hand sidebar contains two types of listing "Make it Easy" and "Lifestyle". The Make it Easy listing shows our products under various headings which focus in on how the products can make life easier and more comfortable. So if you want for instance products that help with a bad back select "Watch your Back" under this section, or if it's products that allow easier vision select "Easier on the eye".

The "Lifestyle" listing shows are products under traditional lifestyle categories related to rooms and activities in the home or out and about. For instance to find kitchen utensils Choose "Lifestyle" and then "Kitchen and Dining".

Once you've found the product click on the Details button to get to full information on the product. To get a close up view of a product simply click on the image. For some products we have also provided you with several product images, just click on the small images next to the large image on each product page.

You can also use a keyword search facility, just enter a keyword into the box to search for a particular product.

BUYING

You can order online by clicking on the "Buy Now" button for each desired product to add that item to your shopping basket. At any time whilst you are shopping you can check what you have ordered by clicking on the "My Basket" button. Your order is not submitted until you have had the chance to review all of the details and you click the "CONFIRM" button at the checkout. We utilise the very best in 128-bit security technology to keep your details safe, our credit card details are held on a secure server and are not transmitted via email. See Security Information.

We accept most debit and credit cards including :-

MasterCard, Visa and JCB Credit Cards

and Switch, Solo, Maestro, Electron and Visa Debit Cards

Once you have submitted your order we will send you a e-mail to inform you that we have received your order and as well as when we despatch your order. We will contact you if dispatch needs to be delayed and you will have the option to cancel the order if you wish.

SECURITY DETAILS

At Verko we take the security of your details very seriously, we use a Digital Certificate with 128-bit encryption; the highest available. This protects your details as they travel over the internet. We also employ sophisticated cross-referencing technology to check that credit or debit card details are correct. So please make sure that your enter your credit card and security number correctly, with no spaces and enter your invoice address as it appears on your credit card statement, so that we can process your order without any delay. We do not store card numbers on our computer systems, these are dealt with by a separate secure banking system. Our credit card merchant and process facilities are provided by Natwest and VelocityPay

DELIVERY

Our standard delivery charge of £3.95 applies to all addresses within the UK for the vast majority of our products. These are sent by 1st Class Royal Mail and by Royal Mail Parcels. A few of our larger products (eg Shopping Trolleys) over 2kgs have an additional delivery charge and are sent using our couriers or Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service (3-4 days). If the delivery charge is more than normal, it is included within your check out page.

You only pay the delivery charge for the largest item in an order, so additional items within the same order are delivered FREE. So to reduce your delivery charges, order several items at once and you save money.

For deliveries outside the UK, please e-mail us on info@verko.co.uk for a quotation, most items only require an a extra delivery charge of £5 within the European Union and £10 elsewhere.

Standard Delivery charges are for:-

  • Really small items £1.95

  • Medium sized items (most of our household items fall within this category) £2.95

  • Large items e.g. Furniture and shopping trolleys £7.95

We can do Guranteed Next Day Delivery within the UK at an extra charge of £7 for small and medium items and £30 for large items. Please e-mail us on info@verko.co.uk to arrange this

So that you are not kept waiting for your purchase we usually aim to despatch on the next working day, if for any reason we are not able to despatch within 7 working days of your order we will contact you.

RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS

You can cancel an order anytime prior to despatch from our warehouse. Your credit/debit card is not charged until goods have been despatched to you.

You can also return goods up to 14 days after receipt. To cancel or return your order please e-mail us on info@verko.co.uk or call 020 8201 9444.

If you are sending something back to us we strongly advise that it is in its original packing and very securely packed, all returned goods must be received in a re-saleable and un-used state with the correct packaging and other informative material. We will credit the cost of the goods to your credit/debit card once they arrive safely with us. Please note that we cannot reimburse the original delivery charge, except where Verko is at fault. If you need to return the product(s) you will be responsible for the costs of return delivery, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery method.

PRIVACY

We do not make our customer details available to other companies for marketing purposes. We have may however send you offers ourselves that we think that you may find interesting. We collect and retain name, address and contact information to enable us to process your order. We will also place a "cookie" on you’re your computer so that you are recognised as a registered user when you come back to view our site. For your security we do not retain your credit card details so you will have to input these again even if you're a registered user of Verko - design for easier living. We do track usage of the site so that we can continuously improve your customer experience, this tracking information is consolidated and cannot identified to you as an individual customer
