The beginning


When we started this company, we wanted turn into a reality our vision of a world where people of all ages and abilities could find products that would assist everyone towards easier and more comfortable day to day living. We wanted stylish, attractive, ergonomic and functional products that fitted into the home and were desirable on the street.

At many existing shops, mail order and web stores we found poorly presented, stigmatising and downright ugly shop and web design that often looked like a hospital storeroom. And in terms of products we couldn't find more than a handful of items that didn't look 'medical'. Pricing did not often justify the offering and service was very poor. Information and ideas to help didn't exist.

So we set about bringing what was missing to millions of consumers like us: Truly stylish products that help with more comfortable and easier living at reasonable prices with fabulous service.


Inclusive design


As part of our service goals, we became experts in the field of inclusive design. We have read hundreds of research studies and trade journals from a variety of fields and determined the best ideas and information to share with you in our monthly article, sent out in our free email newsletter - sign up on the left of this page, you will also be entered for our monthly £10 voucher draw.

All this research has helped us offer the hard-to-find items you need and provide lots of information about these unique products, so you can see if they're right for you.

Our people


We have collected amongst our staff a wealth of experience, including business and product sourcing experience across Europe and beyond. Previous senior management experience from the UK’s government ‘s watchdog - the Disability Rights Commission, as well as product design and logistics expertise from big blue chip companies and start up businesses.
